The welcome text displayed on the X-Cart home page along with all other labels and messages used through out X-Cart are controlled by the "Languages" system in the X-Cart admin control panel. All X-Cart language items can be edited using the following seven steps.
1. Login to your X-Cart admin control panel.
2. Scroll down to the administration menu. Click on Languages.
3. Scroll to Edit Language. Select the language you wish to edit (English is the only choice unless you have installed optional language packages) from the drop-down menu. Wait for the screen to redraw.
4. Scroll down to Apply Filter. Copy some of the text you wish to edit, in this example some text from the home page and paste it in to the Apply Filter box. Then click the Go button
5. The screen will redraw with all the language items that contain the text you pasted in to the Apply Filter box, in the case of this example the item "txt_welcome" wil be displayed in an editor box. Click "WYSIWYG editor" for the item you wish to edit.
6. Make any desired changes and click the "Apply" button. The WYSIWYG editor will close. Then click the "Update all" button to save changes.
7. View the home page from the public front-end to verify changes are as you desire.
